Everything we do is only possible because of volunteers.
Help plant, harvest, water, and more!
HKFP's rooftop farm at 410 W. 40th Street is now open for the 2023 season. Weather permitting, the farm is open to the public every Thursday and the 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM).
If you are interested in a group volunteer opportunity, please see details below.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
LARGE GROUP?
As a volunteer-based farm, the Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project can only continue to function with generous grants, our community partners, and individual and group donors. Donations help us purchase soil and seeds; keep the farm up-to-date; offer small stipends to interns who work, learn, and teach on the farm; and allow us to waive fees for school-aged groups and underserved populations. If you’re interested in bringing a group to the farm on our Thursday and Saturday volunteer days, we offer the following options.
For corporate and office groups:
Option A: An HKFP presentation, led by a farmer, that discusses the history of the farm, its connection to food scarcity and the local community, etc., in addition to a farm work project.
$25 per person
Option B: A farmer led farm work project with no HKFP presentation.
$20 per person
University Student Groups
Option A: An HKFP presentation, led by a farmer, that discusses the history of the farm, its connection to food scarcity and the local community, etc., in addition to a farm work project.
$12 per person
Option B: A farmer led farm work project with no HKFP presentation.
$10 per person
For groups wanting to visit on other days of the week, we may require an additional flat-rate fee.
Please note: HKFP does not request donations from individual volunteers who come on regularly scheduled volunteer days. Additionally, if groups have budget restraints that prevent them from donating, don’t hesitate to let us know; we’d be happy to discuss alternatives.
